7 Brain Foods for Kids

7 Brain Foods for Kids

As fast as children whiz from classroom to activity to home and back again, their brains are just as rapidly growing and changing.
The foods they eat are important. "These years are critical for brain development, and what they eat affects focus and cognitive skills," says psychiatrist Drew Ramsey, MD, co-author of The Happiness Diet and Fifty Shades of Kale.
These 7 foods can help kids stay sharp and affect how their brains develop well into the future.

7 Brain Foods for Kids

1. Eggs

The protein and nutrients in eggs help kids concentrate, says Los Angeles-based chef Beth Saltz, RD.

How to Serve It:

Fold scrambled eggs into a whole-grain tortilla for a filling breakfast or late-afternoon snack. "The protein-carb combo tides kids over until the next meal with no sugar-induced energy crash," Saltz says. You can also try serving egg salad sandwiches or a few deviled eggs.

2. Greek Yogurt

Fat is important to brain health, says Laura Lagano, RD. A full-fat Greek yogurt (which has more protein that other yogurts) can help keep brain cells in good form for sending and receiving information.

How to Serve It:

Pack Greek yogurt in a lunch with some fun mix-ins: cereal with at least 3 grams of fiber, and blueberries for a dose of nutrients called polyphenols. Dark chocolate chips are another option. They have polyphenols, too. These nutrients are thought to keep the mind sharp by hiking blood flow to the brain.

3. Greens

Full of folate and vitamins, spinach and kale are linked to lower odds of getting dementia later in life. Kale is a super food, packed with antioxidants and other things that help new brain cells grow.

How to Serve It:

For some kids, greens are a hard sell. So rather than serving a salad, you may want to try some different ideas:

  • Whip spinach or kale into smoothies for snack time.
  • Add spinach to omelets or lasagna.
  • Make kale chips. Cut kale from stems/ribs, drizzle with olive oil and a bit of salt, and bake.

4. Fish

Fish is a good source of vitamin D and omega-3s, which protect the brain from declining mental skills and memory loss. Salmon, tuna, and sardines are all rich in omega-3s.

"The more omega-3s we can get to the brain, the better it will function and the better kids will be able to focus," says Bonnie Taub-Dix, RD, author of Read It Before You Eat It.

How to Serve It:

Grill it and offer your child a sauce for dipping, add fish to tacos, or make tuna sandwiches.

5. Nuts and Seeds

Packed with protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, nuts and seeds may boost mood and keep your nervous system in check.

How to Serve It:

  • There’s always peanut butter, or you can also buy or make sunflower seed butter. Sunflower seeds are rich in folate, vitamin E, and selenium, and safe for nut-free zones. If you can’t get your kids to eat the seeds themselves, use the spread on whole-grain crackers or bread.
  • Make pesto: Nuts combined with olive oil and dark leafy greens make a healthful and tasty sauce you can serve over whole-grain pasta.

6. Oatmeal

Protein- and fiber-rich oatmeal helps keep heart and brain arteries clear. In one study, kids who ate sweetened oatmeal did better on memory-related school tasks than those who ate a sugary cereal.

How to Serve It:

Add cinnamon. Compounds in the spice may protect brain cells, research shows.

7. Apples and Plums

Kids often crave sweets, especially when they're feeling sluggish. Apples and plums are lunchbox-friendly and contain quercetin, an antioxidant that may fight decline in mental skills.

How to Serve It:

The good stuff is often in the skin of fruit, so buy organic, wash well, and put the fruit in a bowl for quick snacks.

How to open FTP file in my computer (without internet explorer)

How to open FTP file in my computer (without internet explorer)

If you need to access an FTP server, you can install dedicated FTP clients with lots of features –but you don’t necessarily have to. Windows itself offers several ways for connecting to an FTP server, allowing you to download and upload files in a pinch.

How to Access FTP Servers in Windows’ File Explorer

The Windows file manager–known as File Explorer on Windows 10 and 8, and Windows Explorer on Windows 7–allows you to connect to FTP servers.
To connect to an FTP server, open a File Explorer or Windows Explorer window, click the “This PC” or “Computer”. Right-click in the right pane and select “Add a network location”.

Go through the wizard that appears and select “Choose a custom network location”.

In the “Specify the location of your website” dialog, enter the address of the ftp server in the form ftp://server.com .
For example, Microsoft’s FTP server is ftp.microsoft.com, so we’d enter ftp://ftp.microsoft.com here if we wanted to connect to that particular server.
If you don’t have a username and password, you can often check the “Log on anonymously” box and sign into the server without a username and password. This gives you limited access to the server–you can generally download publicly available files but not upload files, for example.

If you do have a username and password, enter your username here. The first time you connect to the FTP server, you’ll be prompted to enter your password.

You’ll now be asked to enter a name for the network location. Enter whatever name you like–the FTP site will appear with this name so you can easily remember which is which.
When you’re done, the FTP site will appear under “Network locations” in the This PC or Computer pane. Download files and upload files by copying and pasting them to and from this folder.

Jaffrabad Violence: Four Cases Lodged After Clash Between Pro And Anti-CAA Groups

Police had fired tear gas shells as members of the two groups pelted stones at each other in Maujpur.

Protestors hurl stones after clashes broke out between pro and anti-CAA groups at Maujpur area, in East Delhi.

Four cases have been registered in connection with the violence during protests between pro and anti-CAA groups in northeast Delhi's Jaffrabad and nearby areas, police said on Monday.

One FIR has been registered at Welcome police station while another has been lodged at Jaffrabad police station. Two other FIRs have been registered at Dayalpur police station, they said.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) closed the entry and exit gates of Jaffrabad and Maujpur-Babarpur metro stations for the second day on Monday after tension remained high following clashes between pro-CAA and anti-CAA groups in the area.

Clashes broke out between the two groups on Sunday evening near Jaffrabad in northeast Delhi where a large number of people had gathered to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Police fired tear gas shells as members of the two groups pelted stones at each other in Maujpur.

Maujpur is close to Jaffrabad metro station area, where women are holding a protest against the CAA amid heavy security.

There was tension in the area after hundreds of anti-CAA protesters, mostly women, blocked a road near the Jaffrabad metro station which connects Seelampur with Maujpur and Yamuna Vihar.

What is keywords and their types

KEYWORDS

Keyword research is a practice search engine optimization professionals use to find and research alternative search terms that people enter into search engines while looking for a similar subject.

There are almost too many decisions to make when setting up your AdWords account for the first time. How much money should I spend per day? Are my bids high enough? Do I start with Search, Display, or Search Network with Display Select? The list goes on and on.
One of the most common mistakes advertisers who are new to AdWords make is not fully utilizing the available keyword matching options. Selecting which words you want to trigger your ads is deceptively difficult to get right from the start, but makes a heck of a lot more sense once you understand what keywords are and how they work.

Got solid wifi reception and don’t feel like reading? Enjoy this #HawkTalks episode starring our Co-Founders Dan Pratt and Todd Saunders who break everything down into digestible bits.

What The Hell Are The AdWords Match Types?

Keyword match types are parameters that can be set on your keywords to control which searches trigger your ads to appear. There are 4 different keyword match types in AdWords: Broad Match, Broad Match Modifier, Phrase Match, and Exact Match.
Each match type has its own advantages and disadvantages, and it’s incredibly important to understand the circumstances in which you should use one and not the other.

Broad Match

Google makes it easy to find customers via keyword traffic. All you have to do is add in your targeted keywords, click save, and BOOM! you’re off to the races. Your keywords are placed in Broad Match by default, which can be problematic once you understand how Broad Match keywords work.

Broad Match, as its name suggests, is the keyword match type that allows you to reach the widest audience. When your keyword in is Broad Match, your ads are eligible to appear whenever a user searches any word in your key phrase, in any order. It also allows misspellings and synonyms to trigger your ads to appear. For example, if you use broad match on the keyword “women’s hats”, your ad might show when a user searches for “men’s hats”, “women’s scarves”, or “girl fedoras”.

The wide reach of Broad Match keywords will increase the number of clicks you see on your ads, the problem is that a lot of those clicks may be coming from irrelevant traffic.  (In fact, broad match keywords is one of five default settings in your AdWords account that could be lowering your ROI.) If you decide to stick with default broad match keywords, it’s important to check the Search Terms Report to ensure you’re not spending money on keyword traffic that is irrelevant and not converting.

Broad Match Modifier

The Broad Match Modifier match type is one of our favorites because it gives you the crazy reach of Broad Match keywords, but allows you to be more restrictive around the specific queries that will trigger your ad. It’s the mullet (business in the front, party in the back) of the match type world.

Broad Match Modified keywords work by appending a ‘+’ to the specific word in your keyword phrase that you want to lock in place. When you lock a word in place, you are telling Google that you only want your ad to show when that word appears in the search query. The query can be in any order, but that one word needs to exist in it somewhere. To use the example from earlier, if you use a Broad Match Modifier on the keyword “ +women’s hats”, Google can show your ad when a user searches for “women’s fedoras”, “hats for women”, or “women’s clothing”, but will not show your ad when a user searches for “men’s hats”.

Phrase Match

Phrase Match is another one of our favorite match types because of the balance of control and reach that it gives you as an advertiser. Your ad will only appear when a user searches for your exact keyword phrase, in its exact order, but maybe with some additional words at the beginning and the end of the query.
As with most things in AdWords, it’s way easier to see how this works in action, so let’s take a look. If you use the keyword “women’s hats” in Phrase Match, your ads are eligible to show for users searching for “red women’s hats”, “women’s hats for weddings”, but not for “women’s blue hats” or “hats for women”. We like using Phrase Match on two-word keyword phrases

Exact Match and Close Variant Matching

Exact Match used to be the most restrictive match type option in AdWords, and the match type option we found ourselves using the least.
It used to be the case where Exact Match keywords only triggered ads when the exact keyword phrase you targeted was searched. I mean, that’s the definition of exact, isn’t it?

Google implements close variant matching

Google realized that advertisers were missing out on huge opportunities on people misspelling and abbreviating variations of the designated keywords, making Exact Match a very ineffective strategy. They then fixed the issue, so those small variants to search queries still triggered ads, although the keywords weren’t necessarily an exact match. This is called “close variant matching.”

In early 2017 Google announced that they’ll take things a step further, disclosing that exact match keyword ads will now be triggered when phrases are reordered and when function words are added, removed, or changed.

Negative Match

Choosing what NOT to target can be just as important as choosing what to target. Negative keywords prevent your ads from showing up for search queries that have nothing to do with your brand.

Now there are three types of negative keywords:

Negative Broad Match is the default setting that stops your ad from showing if all the negative keywords are searched, regardless of order. For example, the negative keywords “dog hat” will prevent your ad from showing up when “cute hats for dogs” is searched.
Negative Phrase Match stops your ads from showing if the search includes your exact keywords. Order matters! If your negative phrase match keyword is “dog hat,” your ad will not show up for the search query “cute dog hat” but will show for “hat dog.”
Negative Exact Match prevents your ads from showing if the search query is exactly your negative keyword. This means, your ads will show if extra words or phrases are added. The negative exact match keyword “dog hat” will prevent your ads to show only when someone searches exactly “dog hat.”

Congratulations!

If you’ve made it down this far, you’re now a keyword match type expert! If you have any questions, please feel free to drop a comment below.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan Review:

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan Review:

This time 'Ayushman Magic' could not work, read the review of the film

For the past few years, actor Ayushmann Khurrana has been showing his #AyushmanMagic at the box office. However, his sequence seems to be at a standstill with the film 'Shubh Mangal more careful'. Ayushmann's characters have had a distinct personality in most of the previous successful films. But, in the film 'Shubh Mangal more careful', you will see a little 'Bala' Balmukund Shukla in Karthik. Karam Singh of little 'Dream Girl' and Nakul Kaushik of little 'Badhaai Ho' will be seen. In Ayushmann's film 'Shubh Mangal more careful', you will see lack of 'spark'. Yes, it can definitely be said that by watching this film, you will miss 'I saw a girl'.

The story 'Shubh Mangal is more careful' is that of Karthik (Ayushmann Khurrana) and Aman (Jitendra Kumar). Both are in love and live together in Delhi. The troubles begin when the two go to Allahabad to attend the wedding of Gogal (Manvi Gagaru), the daughter of Karthik's uncle (Manushi Chaddha), and the secret of their homosexual relationship is revealed there. The whole family, including Aman's father Shankar Tripathi (Gajraj Rao) and mother Sunayana Tripathi (Neena Gupta), are shocked to learn this. Now the challenge before Aman and Karthik is to convince everyone to accept their relationship.

Hitesh Kevalya has written and directed the story of this film and both of them are its weakest episodes. The film slips from the director's hand after it starts in a tight manner and you keep waiting till the film is over that it will now catch the right track, but it does not happen.

The most notable in terms of acting is Amun's uncle Manuishi Chaddha and aunt Sunita Rajwar. Both of them seem to be the most comfortable among their characters. In many scenes, they also appeared to be overshadowing the Nina-Gajraj pair. Nina-Gajraj has done a good job, but to a large extent, he was seen repeating his 'congratulations ho' attitude. Jitendra Kumar sits perfectly in the character of Aman due to his simplicity and innocence, but his dialogue delivery and performance lacked confidence in many places.

The dialogues of the film are amazing at some places, but at times very average. 'Everyday we have to fight in life, but the fight which has to be fought with our family or our family is the most dangerous ...' This dialogue of Ayushman is one of its hallmarks. In the previous film Shubh Mangal Savdhan of this series, layers of illusions related to diseases like 'erectile dysfunction' were shown in a very impressive style. There was a good balance between comedy and the real issue. In 'Shubh Mangal more careful', the real issue of homosexual relations has remained largely suppressed. The film fails to make the audience feel their pain, to explain what problems the lesbians of small towns have to face. It tries to present the issue in the cover of a lot of comedy, but the difficulty comes when the comedy is too weak and unable to laugh. Ayushmann and Jitendra pair well. If the story had been supported, this film could have gone to a different level. Made with effective stars and a good message, this film is a stumbling block, disintegrating you, akharta, kachotata.

Golden Girls Divya, Sarita & Pinki Shine At Asian Wrestling C’ship

Golden Girls Divya, Sarita & Pinki Shine At Asian Wrestling C’ship

Grappler Divya Kakran becomes the second Indian woman ever to win a gold medal at the Asian Championships. In a very close match, Jakarta Asian Games bronze medallist, Divya won the round against Japan’s Naruha Matsuyuki 6-4 in the women’s 68kg. Two other wrestlers, Pinki and Sarita Mor continued the golden run by winning gold medals in the 55kg and 59kg categories respectively on Thursday. However, Nirmala Devi missed out on the gold and had to settle down for a silver medal in the 50kg category.
So far, Kakran has beaten all four of her opponents by fall. In the first round, she silenced Kazakhstan’s Albina Kairgelinova before defeating Mongolian Delgermaa Enkksaikhan. Sarita clinched gold after beating Mongolia’s Battseteg Atlantsetseg 3-2 in 59kg freestyle final.

Navjot Kaur was the first Indian woman gold medallist in the history of the Asian Championships before Divya Kakran. She secured gold in 2018 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Key Takeaways:

Divya Kakran became the second Indian woman to win a gold medal at the Asian Wrestling Championships.
Indian women are dominating the Asian Championships with Sarita Mor and Pinki winning gold, and Nirmala Devi clinching a silver medal.
Disappointing for Vinesh Phogat as she fails to avenge her loss at the World Championships to Japan’s Mayu Mukaida. Phogat lost 6-2 in her first match.

‘I have improved on my range’

Speaking on her win, young wrestler Divya said “If you have a 5-wrestler group it becomes even tougher, you have fight everyone and win big. I won 4 bouts within 2 hours. It was tough on my body but the good thing is I have improved on my range, I made all kinds of attacks, Irani, Kheme, single-led, double leg attacks, the moves on which I had spent hours practicing.”

Larry Tesler, the father of cut-copy-paste, has died at 74

Larry Tesler, the father of cut-copy-paste, has died at 74

You might not know Larry Tesler’s name, but I can guarantee you used something he created. This former Apple computer scientist, the inventor of some of the world’s most common user interface tools — including the copy-paste — died this week at the age of 74, according to a report from AppleInsider and an obituary from Xerox.
In 1973, Tesler joined the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), where he worked with Tim Mott to create the Gypsy text editor. It was within Gypsy that he created the modeless method for copying and moving parts of text, which we now know as cutting, copying, pasting. You can still view his modest-looking CV on his website here, in which he talks about the work he did while at the company. He describes his invention of the copy-paste thus:

Conceived, implemented and usability-tested GUI (graphical user interface) and IDE (integrated development environment) capabilities that have become standards in the industry, including the ability to:… insert or overwrite text without entering a mode by simply clicking or dragging and then typing… move or copy text without entering a mode using cut/copy and paste… type or paste find & replace text into a form that can be edited before and after searching…
Again, it sounds almost casual, as if this isn’t something all of us have used every day of our lives on a computer. I’ve used copy-pasting several times just while writing this very article. He also says on his website: “I have been mistakenly identified as ‘the father of the graphical user interface for the Macintosh’. I was not. However, a paternity test might expose me as one of its many grandparents.” Even if that were the extent of Tesler’s involvement in computer science, we’d still owe him a debt of gratitude, but it’s not.
Tesler was the person who was assigned to show Steve Jobs around PARC in 1979, a presentation which included Xerox’s Alto computer and its user interface. According to CNET, Jobs called the work “a goldmine,” and later persuaded Tesler to join Apple. Tesler worked there for almost 20 years, being promoted to the position of Chief Scientist in 1993. He worked on various projects, including Lisa, Newton, and Macintosh. He’s also credited with convincing Apple to invest in Advanced RISC Machines (ARM). Modern iPhones still benefit from this investment, as iOS devices run on ARM-based processors.
After he left in 1997, he worked at Amazon, Yahoo, and 23andMe. According to his most recent CV entry, he was doing private consulting work in “user experience management/research/design/programming for desktop/web/mobile/TV/print” in California.

what is blogging???????? and importance of blogging...

what is blogging????????

A blog was initially called a weblog. The concept of a weblog was more on a personal level where users would share their most honest day to day experiences online. It further evolved into sharing of knowledge in a particular domain for others to read and gave like-minded people a platform to interact and share their ideas. This is now what we call as blogging.

People often confuse a blog with a website. But, to understand more clearly a blog is a website but a site is not a blog.

The major points that differentiate a blog from a website are:

1.    A blog is regularly updated. There is no point of keeping a blog that is not updated with new posts on a regular basis.

2.    A blog most of the time offer a discussion panel where people can come and leave their comments or take part in a discussion.

Marketers saw the potential of blogging for fulfilling their marketing goals and from then and there blogging got a new dimension

Importance of blogging

1. The SEO evolves every passing day and so the Google search algorithms. To be able to put up with the tremendous ranking competition one needs to keep up with these algorithms. Blogging is a great way to keep up with the latest keyword searches and the ever-changing algorithms.

2. People love new content and if you want to reach and then make them return you need to offer them good content. Blogging checks these boxes quite easily given the fact you are providing useful content to your customers.
3. Many tools help marketers to determine what their customers like, their expectation, product-related issues and a variety of many more buyer related metrics. Blogging is a great tool to track these metrics and help marketers to improve their strategies.
4. It also helps to build trust and rapport with your customer base. Blogging can help you to show how good you are in your domain and at the same time also know where you might be lacking.
5. It also is a source of some extra income in the form of affiliate marketing and revenue from other options.

Donald Trump's latest visit in india Ahmedabad

Now, Trump Says PM Modi Told Him "10 Million People" Will Welcome Him In Ahmedabad

Donald Trump's latest claim comes despite the Ahmedabad municipal body estimating much lower figures of the crowd.

On February 16, the municipal office had tweeted:

MaruAmdavad says #NamasteTrump#IndiaRoadShow is getting bigger & bigger 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
More than 1 lakh participants already confirmed for the 22 km roadshow
Great opportunity for #Ahmedabad to present Indian Culture to the World
Hello #Ahmedabad
Get ready to say #NamasteTrump🙏#MaruAmdavad gets a historic opportunity to present Indian Culture & Diversity to the global audience
Come, join us for the #BiggestRoadShowEver#IndiaRoadShow
24th February

Colorado Springs: US President Donald Trump made another claim today, saying he has been told by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that 10 million people are expected to turn up along a 22-km-long road in Ahmedabad when he lands in India next week. Mr Trump's latest claim comes despite the Ahmedabad municipal body estimating much lower figures of the crowd.
"I hear they're going to have 10 million people. They say anywhere from six to 10 million people are going to be showing up along the route to one of the largest stadiums in the world, the largest cricket stadium in the world," Mr Trump said at a packed re-election campaign rally in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
PM Modi and President Trump will travel on a 22-km-long road on February 24.
"Prime Minister Modi said we will have 10 million people to greet you. Here's my problem, we have a packed house. We have a lot of people, thousands of people who couldn't get in. It's going to look like peanuts from now on. I'll never be satisfied with the crowd if we have 10 million in India," the US President said at the rally in the US.
Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner, however, had said on Thursday that around one lakh people are expected to be lining up to greet the American President.
Earlier this week, Donald Trump had put the number at seven million. "We're not treated very well by India, but I happen to like Prime Minister Modi a lot. And he told me we'll have 7 million (70 lakh) people between the airport and the event," Mr Trump had said at a press conference.
To put the number in perspective, the population of Ahmedabad, the biggest city in Gujarat, is 70 to 80 lakh.

"I'm going to India next week, and we''re talking about, you know, they have 1.5 billion people. And Prime Minister Modi is number two on Facebook, number two. Think of that. You know who number one is? Trump. You believe that? Number one. I just found out," Mr Trump said during his commencement address at the Hope for Prisoners Graduation Ceremony in Las Vegas.

Donald Trump, accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump, is scheduled to travel to Ahmedabad, Agra and New Delhi on February 24 and 25. In Ahmedabad, President Trump will address the ''Namaste Trump'' event jointly with PM Modi at the newly-built Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel cricket stadium in Motera, the world's largest cricket stadium.
Ahead of the VVIP visit, there have been talks about India and the United States agreeing on a trade package as a precursor to a major trade deal. A big-ticket signing, however, is unlikely, according to reports.
"We're going to India, and we may make a tremendous deal there," Mr Trump said in Las Vegas. "Well, we can have a trade deal with India, but I'm really saving the big deal for later on," he told reporters on Tuesday.

WHAT IS ONLINE DISPLAY ADVERTISING

WHAT IS ONLINE DISPLAY ADVERTISING

Definition of Online Display Advertising

Display advertising (banner advertising) is a form of advertising that conveys a commercial message visually using text, logos, animations, videos, photographs, or other graphics. Display advertisers frequently target users with particular traits to increase the ads’ effect.

A new world with an increasingly connected consumer

According to studies & research, as of 2012, there are 17.5 million active internet users in Malaysia. The top activities conducted by users online are reading or sending email, using a search engine to find stuff and of course interacting with communities with shared interests on social networks such as Facebook or twitter.

This represents an enormous opportunity for companies to reach out to a technologically savvy audience who is continuously interacting with the world wide web for various interests.

How do advertisers know who to target?

In order to uniquely identify anonymous users, online advertisers today tend to make use of cookies, which are unique identifiers of specific computers, to decide which ADs to serve to a particular consumer. Cookies can track whether a user left a page without buying anything, so the advertiser can later retarget the user with ADs from the site the user visited.

As advertisers collect data across multiple external websites about a user’s online activity, they can then combine this information to create a picture of the user’s interests to deliver even more targeted advertising. This aggregation of data is called behavioral targeting. Advertisers can also target their audience by using contextual and semantic advertising to deliver display ADs related to the content of the web page where the ADs appear. Retargeting, behavioral targeting, and contextual advertising all are designed to increase an advertiser’s return on investment, or ROI, over untargeted ads.

As advertising needs become more sophisticated, display ADs can also be personalized based on a user’s geography through geotargeting. Basic information such as a user’s IP address can indicate a user’s rough location with a limited degree of accuracy. This information can be supplemented further through the use of a phone’s GPS or the location of nearby mobile towers to have a clearer indication of the user’s current position for a mind boggling array of advertising possibilities.

HOW IS MY, DISPLAY ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN DOING?

What is used to measure the success of Display Marketing?

If your organization intends to activate Display Advertising, it is important to understand some key metrics that you will encounter throughout your engagement process such as Reach, Clickthrough rates, Bounce rates, Conversion rates and of course return on Investment in order to have a better picture of the performance of your Online Display Marketing activities.

Reach
Reach for online advertisements are defined by the number of people who can potentially view your advertisement online. Typically this will be represented by the number of visitors that visit the advertisement network you are planning to use.

Clickthrough Rate (CTR)

Typically, when we talk about online marketing, a clickthrough rate refers to the likelihood of a user clicking on your online initiative. This is generally used as a benchmark by advertising agencies to gauge how well an advertisement or a campaign is received by the audience.

Bounce Rate (BCR)

Bounce rate is the percentage of visits that go only to one page before exiting the site.

When a user bounces on a page that was advertised by a display advertisement, it indicates that the user was intrigued enough to click on the advertisement, but when they visited your site, they found that what they saw on the advertised page is not relevant to them.

There are a number of factors that contribute to your bounce rate. For example, visitors might leave your site from the entrance page if there are site design or usability issues. Alternatively, visitors might also leave the site after viewing a single page if they were not able to find what they were expecting.

Conversion Rate (CVR)

The conversion rate basically tells you what percentage of the people clicking through an AD ended up completing an action or a goal that the advertiser desired. This could be anything from a purchase made online, a registration for a newsletter or even a request for more information.

Return on Investment (ROI)

When brands embark on display marketing, there is always a cost involved together with a goal to be achieved. Return on investment in layman’s tries to quantify how much value is obtained for every ringgit spent.

In its simplest form, imagine an advertisement that will run for a month before Valentine’s that you are using to drive traffic from search engines to market flowers throughout Malaysia.

If the cost of the campaign was RM 10,000.00 and the sales generated by the campaign was RM 50,000.00, this means that for every RM 1 spent, the brand earned RM 5 back.

ACCELERATE YOUR DISPLAY ADVERTISING PERFORMANCE

How can I increase my display campaign’s performance?
As Google Analytics Partners, we are able to assist in planning & setting up the environment to track and measure your online display marketing activities and relating it back to actual business results.

Getting basic insights from your online media agency is useful, but when combined with the information from your brand’s online marketing activities, they offer a clearer picture of how well your business is doing.

9 Awesome Things You Can Do With Google Analytics

9 Awesome Things You Can Do With Google Analytics

Google Analytics  took the best features of their analytics program and made it even easier to use with new organization and visualization features. Here are nine awesome things you can do with Google Analytics 5 that will help you get the most out of your analytics information and use it to improve your website’s content, conversions, and user experience.

Below we’ve compiled everything you need to know to get started with Analytics in general, and specifically with Version 5. (This is a beginner’s guide, aimed at users who may or may not be familiar with Analytics, and doesn’t cover some of the more in-depth features.)

A Brief History of Analytics

Google Analytics was originally developed from the Urchin on Demand software that Google acquired in the spring of 2005 (Urchin is still developed and available through value-added resellers, and is currently at version 7). The first Google-branded version was released in November 2005. In 2006, further ideas from Measure Map (developed by Adaptive Path) were integrated into Analytics when Google acquired them.

Early on, Analytics was available by invitation only, as demand for the product was very high. It wasn’t fully available to all users until nearly a year after its initial release (August 2006).

Why Use Analytics?

Analytics is a powerful application for tracking traffic patterns on your website. The fact that it’s an entirely free program, and integrates with other Google programs, like AdSense and AdWords, only makes it that much more valuable.

Considering most people already use at least some Google products, it makes sense to use Analytics, because it is such a powerful, yet easy-to-use, product.

What’s New in Analytics 5?

One of the biggest new features in Analytics 5 is the addition of custom dashboards. You can create custom dashboards for your sites that include whatever metrics you’re interested in. Beyond that, you can even choose how the information is displayed (table, chart, etc.).
Some beta features in Analytics 4 have become primary features in Analytics 5, including Intelligence. Another nice addition is the JavaScript interface, which makes Analytics feel like a much smoother, more professional application. Overall, the biggest changes are in the interface layout, rather than the functionality of the program.

There are also some features that have been removed from 5, including breadcrumb navigation within reports and links to external referring sites (which adds extra steps when you want to see exactly what page referred traffic to your site). The percentage change in metrics that was displayed in the chart when comparing date ranges is also missing (though the data is shown in the table below the chart). Whether these features will be added in future revisions or not remains to be seen. Since none of these affect the functionality of Analytics, they’re more of an annoyance than a real problem.

The Basic Interface

When you access the report for your site, you’ll first be brought to the Visitors Overview screen. This differs from the last version of Analytics, where you were first brought to a general overview screen that also showed information about traffic sources and content. At the top of the report, you’ll see a chart showing your traffic patterns for the past month. You can also use the dropdown to change the date this graph and the rest of your reports show (or you can choose to compare two date ranges).

Want To Become A Famous Blogger?

Want To Become A Famous Blogger?

I know that every single reader of this blog visits and reads it to learn something useful and creative so that he/she can become a successful and famous. Am I right? Of course I’m. ;)

One thing I want to clear that famous and successful are not two separate words they are same. For example, if you are successful then obviously you will be famous. So as a math lover I always make things in equations :D so mathematically we can say that,

Successful Person = Famous Person

So don’t predict the article by seeing the title, the tips I am going to discuss will not only teach you to become famous but also tell you how to become successful.

Read : 5 Basic Pillars of Creating Successful and Profitable Blog!

How To Become a Famous Blogger

So without wasting our time lets get into our topic.

1. Start With A Personal Blog

If you want to become a famous blogger then the best way is to start a personal blog. Personal blog is because it is totally about you and the most awesome thing is that personal blog’s URL are the name of the blogger whom blog it is like (yourname.com).

But I know that most of you haven’t a personal blog, so don’t worry you can also become a famous blogger without it. ;)

2. Solve Your Readers Problems

You’ve might listen this sentence many times on other sites, but believe it is very important and effective also.

Problem solving blogs and websites get success in very less time and become popular. People on the internet will not visit your blog just to read what you are bragging. They want something useful, valuable or you can say that Tasty.

So be a problem solver in any field problems are every where just you have to think and the solution will come in your mind.

By helping your readers to get success, will become the cause of your success.

3. Become Friends With Other Bloggers

Creating relationship with other people in your field is very useful; it is a source of great knowledge. Talking with experience people and learn from their failures and mistakes, can make you even better than them.

By making blogger friends more and more people can know about you and sooner and later everybody will know you and thus you will become famous.

4. Promote Your Blog And Yourself

Promoting is the best and the direct way to make yourself and your blog popular. Many people skip this step and think that it is not important, but they are wrong, promotion is the only thing that shine up a business, that make a movie top on the box office, that make any thing popular. So don’t skip promotion do it side by side.

Now promotion has become very important for any blog. Because as you know that on the internet there are many many blogs of your blog’s niche so it has become very hard to overcome those blog and there is only way to do it and that is write gold content and promote, not only your blog but also yourself.

5. Serve People Like Waiter

This seems like funny, ;) but it is true. I am sure you’ve gone to restaurant and seen the efficient waiters, who serve you like your servants. So I think bloggers should also serve their readers like waiters. Because readers are the only thing that make up a blog successful and popular. So we cannot leave them.

Now Its Your Turn!

Becoming famous is not important, how helpful, friendly and valuable you are is matter As I stated above people on the internet don’t visit your blog just to listen your bragging they want to some cool stuff that make them successful.

Simply I can say that they are selfish (Sorry :D but it is true).

So always seek for excellence not for success because excellence is the only thing that leads you to success. And also remember that success is not an overnight process, sometimes it takes a lot of time to become successful or sometimes it takes only some days to become successful.

10 Things You Can Do With Google Search Console

10 Things You Can Do With Google Search Console

If you have a website, Google’s free webmaster tools are invaluable resources that you should be taking advantage of.

Chances are, you already know about and regularly use Google Analytics, but if you haven’t yet, you should add Google Search Console to your list of go-to Google resources to help you get more from your business website as well.

This free tool will help you improve your overall site performance by detecting any issues that might prevent it from being indexed by Google or displayed in organic search results.

How to Set Up Google Search Console

To start, go to the Google Search Console. To access it, you’ll be required to log in with your Google account – make sure you use the same one here you use for any other Google Webmaster tools you use.

Once you’re logged in, look for the red button that says Add a Property. Enter the html for your website and click the button.
From there, Google may ask you to verify you’re the owner of the website. There are a few different ways you can do this. If you’re already using Google Analytics, then the easiest option will be to choose Google Analytics Tracking Code as your preferred method of verification. As long as your Google Analytics tracking code is in the <head> section of your homepage, you’ll be in with no problem.

When you’re on the homepage of the Google Search Console, notice a link on the top left that says “Try the new Search Console”. You currently have two options for using the tool: the old, traditional one which keeps more of the functionality; and the newer version Google’s rolling out that has a more intuitive visual design, but fewer of the features and functionality of the older version. Over time, Google plans to move all the Search Console’s features into the newer version, but for now, a lot of the benefits of the tool remain in the traditional version.

In the images below, the old version is on the left and the new version is on the right:

10 Ways to Use Google Search Console

With access to the Google Search Console, you can now get to work accomplishing a number of different tasks. Here are some of the most important ways to use it.

1. Submit a sitemap.

While Google’s web crawlers can learn a lot about a website and its individual web pages on their own, you can give them a little extra help in learning the information they need by submitting a sitemap to Google.

A number of websites will automatically generate a sitemap for you. If not, you will need to create a sitemap and upload it to your server. Once you have it, loading it to the Google Search Console is extremely easy.

In the traditional version, while on the main page of the dashboard, look on the right side of the screen to see the Sitemaps section. Click on the gray bar that says Sitemaps.

Then find the red Add/Test Sitemaps button in the top right corner of the screen. Click on it and fill in the URL for your website’s sitemap.
In the new dashboard, click on Sitemaps in the menu on the left side of the page, then fill in the sitemap URL where instructed.

2. Learn common keywords people use to find you.

Anyone that finds your website through organic search used a specific search term to get there. Google Search Console shows you the most common keywords bringing people to your website.

In the traditional Google Search Console view, you’ll find this information by clicking on the Search Analytics bar in the middle of the page in the main dashboard.

A little bit down the page, you’ll see the list of all the keywords people found you with and the number of times someone has clicked on your link after searching each keyword.
By clicking on a particular keyword in the list and using the filter options in the top menu, you can go a little deeper to learn which pages show up for in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) for a specific keyword, what countries people are coming from when they search the keyword, and what devices they’re using. And you can see how different keywords fare in terms of clicks, impressions, and click-through rate.

In the new Google Search Console, you’ll find the same information by clicking on Performance either in the left-side menu or in the top box in the main dashboard.
Google shows you both the number of clicks each keyword earns you and the number of total times your website shows up in search queries for that keyword (impressions) on the main page, and you can view the other categories (CTR, position) by clicking on the upside-down triangle above the list.
This information shows you if you’re successfully attracting people to your content based on the keywords targeted in your SEO strategy. And it will reveal any keywords people find you with that you weren’t meaning to target at all.

3. Identify your most popular pages.

Every website will have pages that perform better in the search engines than others. Google Search Console will help you determine which of your web pages is bringing the most people to your website.

You can find your most popular pages in the same section you found the keywords, and filtering and viewing different subsets of data works pretty much the same.

In both versions of the site, in the same Search Analytics section you viewed the keywords in, select Pages in the menu.
You’ll see a list of all the pages people have seen and clicked in descending order of popularity, with your best-performing pages right at the top. The default view in the old version shows you the most popular pages in terms of clicks; in the new version, clicks and impressions. You can also see which perform best in terms of click-through rate and position as well.

4. See where your visitors are coming from.

If your business serves a particular part of the world, then it’s more important to get traffic from visitors that live in a set geographic area than anywhere else. Google Search Console will also provide you data on where your visitors are located, so you can make sure you’re reaching the right people.

This is in the same section as the keywords and pages data. In both versions, select Countries in the menu.

You’ll see the number of clicks your website receives from each country, with the highest numbers at the top of the list. As with the other categories, you can also switch to view the results based on impressions, click-through rate, and search ranking position.

5. Learn which devices they use.

By now, every business should have a mobile-friendly website. But even if you’ve already taken steps to make sure your website looks good on mobile devices, it’s still good to know what portion of your visitors are interacting with your website on each different type of device. The Google Search Console has you covered there. This is the last piece of data we’ll find in the same section as the last three.

In both versions, select Devices in the menu.

You can see here the distribution of how many clicks you get on each type of device and you can switch over to see the number of impressions, click-through rate, and average position as desired (you know this song and dance by now).

Note that this is the last item on our list that you’ll find in both versions of the product. For the rest, at least at the time of this writing, you’ll be sticking with the traditional version of the Google Search Console.

6. Check that your website works well on mobile.

While it’s a good idea to do mobile testing on your website on your own, you can also use the Google Search Console to confirm that your website passes their mobile usability standards.

In the Search Traffic section on the left-side menu, select Mobile Usability. If everything about your site looks good to Google based on their standards for mobile usability, you’ll see a green checkmark telling you that no errors are detected.

If it identifies something about your website that doesn’t work well on mobile, such as the use of flash or a small font size, you’ll get a message in this section letting you know what the problem is so you can work on fixing it.

7. See which sites link to you.

For anyone focused on SEO, this is important information to have access to. Backlinks are one of the biggest ranking factors, so every time another authoritative website links to you it increases your website’s authority in the eyes of Google’s algorithm.

Under Search Traffic in the left-side menu, select Links to Your Site.

You’ll see a list of websites that include a link on their website back to yours, as well as a list of the pages on your website that other sites link to the most.  Under the section labeled “How your data is linked,” you can also see the anchor text other sites use most often when linking back to yours.

You can find more information on each backlink by clicking on the website, and then clicking on the link listed. From there, you can see specific pages that include the link and visit them yourself to see how it’s used.

8. Check for broken links.

Broken links provide a bad experience for your users and lead people away from the functioning pages you want them to be on. As if that wasn’t bad enough, they also make you look bad to Google and can have a negative effect on your rankings.

In the Crawl section of the Google Search Console, you can find details on any errors Google found when crawling your website, including all URLs that returned a 404 error.

If you click on each entry, you can find information on what the problem with the link is and where the link is located both on your website and others.

This is valuable information you can use to improve your website experience and cut out any frustrating errors your visitors may be dealing with now.

9. Identify website security issues.

Big website hacks are in the news every day lately it seems. Even if your business isn’t big enough to make the news if you get hacked, it can still cause you serious problems. And that goes double if you have an ecommerce site that collects sensitive customer data like credit card information.

The Google Search Console provides a quick and easy head’s up if your website has a security flaw you should be aware of. Click on the Security Issues option on the left-side menu. If you don’t have anything to worry about, the Console will let you know.

If Google does spot an issue, you’ll learn the details you need to figure out how to fix it here.

10. Confirm your schema markup or structured data is working.

Finally, if you use schema markup or other structured data on your website, Google can confirm for you whether it’s set up right to work in the SERPs.

Under Search Appearance, you’ll find categories for Structured Data, Rich Cards, and Data Highlighter, all of which are methods you can use to communicate more information to Google’s crawlers about how to display your web pages in the search results.

The Console provides details on whether or not you have all your coding set up right for these categories, or if you need to make changes.

Conclusion

The Google Search Console is entirely free and, as you can see, thoroughly packed with useful information for any business website. If you care about where and how you show up in the search engines, this is your best resource for digging into the data available and making an action plan for how to improve your SEO moving forward.
